Thora Cooper
Hello! I am Thora. I was born and raised in Kincardine, have 2 beautiful daughters and spend my free time practicing yoga, lifting heavy things at the gym and soaking in the beautiful views that lake Huron has to offer.
During my high school years, I developed a curiosity in tattooing and was interested in a co-op placement with Sugar Shack, when it first opened its doors in 1999. However, chose to pursue a career in Esthetics – which I enjoyed for many years and still practice part-time.
I am the shop mom – office manager, bookkeeper, receptionist, artist assistant, professional errand runner, coffee maker and shoulder massager extraordinaire. I started working as receptionist with the shop in 2014 and was fortunate to develop my position further over the past few years. I took a hiatus during 2016, to assist in the opening of another business in Kincardine and gain more experience in administrative practice. Sugar Shack welcomed me back with warm, open arms again in 2017. And I am happy to call it home and everyone here family.
